ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION is marking 30 years as a band with a new release that looks both backward and forward.

The Japanese rock group said in a recent interview that its Fujieda EP grew from a period of renewed focus, with all four members still closely involved in shaping the band’s sound. The project was released on March 25, 2026, and includes four tracks, including Skins, which was used as the opening theme for the anime series Dr. Stone: Science Future.

The EP also carries a personal connection to frontman Masafumi Gotoh’s roots. Its title points to Fujieda, his hometown, and the work is tied to MUSIC inn Fujieda, a residential studio connected to that area.

After three decades together, ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION is presenting the release as part of an ongoing creative chapter rather than a simple anniversary marker. The band’s latest work keeps its familiar guitar-driven identity while placing it in a setting shaped by memory, place, and long-term collaboration.
