The new details emerged after the couple had kept their transition into parenthood largely private. Gaga and Polansky have not publicly explained the meaning behind their daughter’s name, leaving its personal significance to the family.
The name Rose does have a familiar connection to Gaga’s career. She performed La Vie En Rose in the 2018 film A Star Is Born and later added a large rose tattoo to her back alongside the song’s title. No public confirmation has been made that those connections influenced the baby’s name.
Gaga and Polansky have been publicly linked since 2020 and became engaged in 2024. In previous interviews, Gaga had spoken openly about wanting to become a mother.
