Madonna’s vintage clothing, which went missing after her Coachella performance alongside Sabrina Carpenter, may have simply tumbled off the back of a golf cart. No theft suspected.
Police in Indio, California, confirmed that on April 18, Madonna’s representative filed a missing property report for two bags of clothing and jewelry. The bags were last seen on a golf cart being driven by crew members across the festival grounds, heading toward a bus. When the staff reached their hotel, the bags were gone.
Here’s what investigators found: the golf cart traveled along a dark, bumpy road, and the preliminary evidence points to the items falling off the vehicle. The police report states there is no indication that the bags were intentionally stolen.
The missing pieces include a jacket, corset, dress, and other items from the same era. Madonna had worn some of these pieces during her 2006 Coachella performance, describing them as part of her personal archives and history.
