Three decades after its original debut, Sting’s album Mercury Falling has returned with a new expanded digital edition that adds a deeper look at the project. The release arrives as part of the album’s 30th anniversary and includes a collection of rare material tied to the 1996 record.

The newly issued version features the full original album alongside 19 additional tracks. The expanded set brings together B-sides, remixes, and recordings that had not previously been available on streaming platforms. Among them is Moonlight, a song connected to the 1995 film Sabrina, along with several live performances.

The live selections include versions of You Still Touch Me and Lithium Sunset, as well as a concert performance of Message in a Bottle, originally recorded by Sting with The Police.

When Mercury Falling first arrived on March 4, 1996, it reached No. 5 on the Billboard 200. The album also produced singles including Let Your Soul Be Your Pilot and I’m So Happy I Can’t Stop Crying.

The project later received Platinum certification from the RIAA and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album.
